My husband's stupid TAG!

My husband's going to kill me for this, but I really need to tell everyone about this! Hehehe... Sorry, dear... A girl gotta do what a girl gotta do...hehehe...

When we came back last year, my husband finally got himself a 'SMART TAG'... I know, I know, how outdated we were...hehehe. The funny thing was instead of attaching it to the window or if he was so concerned about the idea of somebody stealing it, just put it on the dashboard when we're in the car!

But NO, he insisted to hold it himself!!! Huh?!! Yes, he would hold it while driving! At first, whenever we're near a toll booth, he would drive ever so slowly at the 'SMART TAG' lane... I got so fed up and we had several 'discussions' in the car. Finally, I threatened to take a picture and post it in this blog! Hehehe...

The worst part was trying to get the 'right' picture. I tried many, many times to get the picture of him holding the 'stupid TAG' , but somehow he always managed to evade getting caught on camera! Even the kids had fun doing this, hehehe... At least, it was never boring going through the numerous toll booths around KL. The worst part was that even I have to hold the 'stupid TAG' when I'm driving. That really made me mad...and when I get mad, I get even...hehehe

Finally on the 29th of December I captured the perfect picture! Yeehoo!!! A few nights ago, he saw the pictures and threatened to delete it, so before he could do that, I'd better post it in my blog first! hehehe... Enjoy the pictures... Dear hubby, bak kata kak long, "Padan la muka!"...hehehe...

Holding the 'stupid TAG"!!!

This is some of the things he would do to keep from being photographed!!!

My husband :The general worker...

When we were staying in the old accommodation, each block was provided with one or two general workers. In Block G, we had Malek and Adam (very nice chaps). They're there to help with any maintenance problems, cleaning the stairs and the landings outside our apartments and also helped us carry our groceries upstairs after shopping. We do pay them for their kind service, okay...hehehe

Anyway, in the new Petronas Complex, the general workers job descriptions do not include helping us with our groceries. Being in Block A has also the disadvantage of being quite far from the helpdesk (in Block B). In Block B, the general workers would wait at the entrance to help carry the grocery bags etc. In Block A, we're lucky if there's any on standby. More often than not, we would just lug it upstairs ourselves (rather than wait for any general worker to appear or walk to Block B to call them.). It's such a hassle especially if you have a small child to tag along as well...

We have also realised another problem, there's no general worker working on Fridays. A day when our working spouses would be available for our weekly grocery shopping...sigh... So, last Friday, when we got back from Marwa, my husband added another to his job description. He's now not only an engineer but also most importantly, my general worker... hehehe

When we arrived at Block A (with bundles of plastic bags), he discovered a 'trolley' next to the lift. He insisted on using the 'trolley', much to my dismay... Let me describe the 'trolley' first. The 'trolley' consists of a piece of wood on wheels. The 'handle' was a actually a piece of rope (this is to direct the 'trolley' along the way). So, we put all our shopping bags on the makeshift 'trolley' and my husband pulled it along. This is when I burst into gales of laughter...hehehe...

It was definitely not easy to pull the trolley along, you have to be careful to properly manoeuvre it, lest it (and all your grocery fell into the drain)... it was hilarious, plus the fact that it made such a racket... and I was of course too busy laughing at my husband...hehehe... Just look at the pictures...
He was concentrating...

Trying to be in control of the contraption...hehehe

Another problem... we had to pay nearly 400 sdg for this lot (well 398.89...) That's just to show how expensive is the cost of living in Khartoum!!!

Saved by the PDA!

Today is my wedding anniversary. 11 years ago to the very day, I got married to my husband (16 November 1997). We don't normally celebrate grandly or anything. Sometimes we would go out for a meal or something like it. It's not really a big deal in our lives. More often than not, my husband would forget... and then, I would get something special...hehehe...

This year I was hoping he would forget because only then I could get a 'shopping spree' voucher...hehehe... Anyway, last night he was still clueless about our approaching anniversary. I was secretly hopping in glee. I wanted to write something about it the this blog but was afraid that he might read it... But around midnight, I heard a beeping sound...

I tried finding the source, it was his PDA. I knew instantly that it's a reminder of our anniversary... oh, s***... I thought of switching it off but thought it's not very nice to do so. The PDA beeped and beeped while my husband was outside watching football... I started praying that the PDA would get out of battery or something...hehehe... Fortunately for him, it didn't...sigh...

So, there is a purpose of filling out all the important dates in your phone, PDA or computers... it saves a lot of money... (Note to husband: You'd better kiss the PDA and say thank you, if not you'd have lost a lot of money...hehehe and oh yes, before I forget... Happy Anniversary!!!)

Happy Birthday to...

Today is my husband's birthday...So, last night we 'tried' to have a surprise birthday celebration for him...hehehe... I managed to bake a chocolate cake and hid it in Hadi's closet. After Isya', Aliah and me decorated the cake with nutella and chocolate sprinkles. Amir was also there. But, we were caught red handed because my husband got suspicious with the 'lack of noise' in the living room (and Aliah forgot to lock the door...sigh...I'm working with such amateur...). So, we had chocolate cake with ice cream last night.

Happy 37th Birthday!

Aliah was enjoying the desert

But the baby enjoyed it most of all! He kept on asking for more...
