A trip to the east coast : the first night...

When we arrived at the Grand Riverview Hotel at 5.30 pm, we were very tired and really in need of a rest. But the kids had different ideas, they were rearing to have fun...sigh... Well, it was quite rare that they got the chance to spend time with their grandparents and most importantly their cousins, Afiq, Natrah and Sofea...

Our 'stuff'...only minus the kitchen sink...hehehe

They were so noisy at the lobby...

It was prearranged that we would get connecting bedrooms opposite the hall. So, the kids had fun playing with each other. Finally when we (the parents) couldn't stand it anymore, we gave them permission to have a bath in the bathroom...at least we had 30 minutes of peace and quiet...hehehe...

Amir and Hadi, enjoying themselves...

Since we were still hungry, we ordered room service. Luckily we did so, because after Maghrib, my in-laws 'announced' that we we're going to Pasir Mas for a visit. It's my mother-in-law's hometown and where barely two weeks previously her older sister passed away. It was raining 'berek-berek' as the people from the east coast would say... It probably came from the sound of the rain on the tin roof of the houses...hehehe... well, that's my guess, anyway.

We arrived around 9pm. Our cousins just finished their dinner but we did eat sate, yeay! Parts of the house was also involved in the flood. When we were there, they were also busy trying to pump the water out...sigh... We met Mek Ma and family from Brunei, Ajis and family and also Mak Jak.

After that we went to see Kak Ana and family nearby. Kak Ana (my husband's cousin) used to take care of him when he was small in London years ago but we're still quite close... Even though it was cold and raining outside but inside, it was warm as we were laughing and busy catching up with each other. The simple hot tea also helped I guess... We finally bade our goodbyes around 11 pm.
