Celebrating Amir's Birthday : Shidah's house

Amir's 3rd birthday was on Sunday, the fifth of July. I didn't plan any birthday party for him actually because his father's in Sudan. But when Shidah (school mate) invited me for her daughter's birthday party on Saturday, I leapt at the opportunity! Hehehe. I asked Shidah whether I could 'tumpang' her birthday party. Alhamdulillah, she agreed. 

So on Saturday, we left the house around 11 am. We went straight to Secretrecipe to buy Amir's birthday cake... his favourite, moist chocolate cake! Yummy! After brunch in SR, we went to Hj. Samuri Sate Kajang at the flyover bridge Sg. Buloh. I had to wait nearly 30 minutes for my order.

I initially planned to solat Zohor at Zana's house but she said she's going out to get the kueh I ordered. So, I drove to Shidah's house and arrived around 2.15 pm. Unfortunately, Shidah's not around but her husband and her sister Mas were there. The first thing that the kids saw was the sweets and lollipops on the table...sigh.

After zohor, Shidah came back and I helped a little bit in setting out the food. Soon Zana came with the delicious kueh. I ordered two trays, 1 for the party and the other for my neighbours in Tasik Puteri. June, Nora came just before the party started...Hehehe. And then it was time for Amir and Iffah to blow their candles! 

Amir looked so cute! And he managed to blow all his candles...hehehe. At first he looked a bit anxious, but he did it perfectly! Hehehe... After that, he enjoyed his cake, of course, while I had a blast chatting with my friends...Lily came a bit later. The other guests were Shidah's neighbours and relatives.

The girls and I conquered the dining table and made it 'our' party! Hehehe. Who laugh the loudest? Of course, it was me! We kind of remembered some of the things that we did when I was young and slim...hehehe. Felt such a long time ago...sigh. Anyway, we chatted until the time we had to leave.

Zana, June and me dropped by at As's house. I asked her to make Aliah's baju kurung...Zana asked her whether she could make her tudung. And our boys  made so much noise in As's house, and before they break anything, I decided to go home. Well, it was after 6 pm anyway. The kids slept throughout the journey and I arrived in Tasik Puteri around maghrib. I distributed the kueh to my neighbour while the kids were still sleeping...hehehe. Thank you Shidah for letting me 'crash' your birthday party.
