The journey to Egypt...

On the 21st of December, we forced the kids to sleep early, as early as 6 pm but being my kids they only managed to sleep after isya', around 8 pm. I also tried to sleep early but only managed a half hour sleep before I had to wake up around 1 am. My husband didn't sleep at all because we're afraid of missing the flight...hehehe

Our flight was at 4.55 am and we're all ready to go the airport at 2 am. Surprisingly waking the kids were not a problem at all...hehehe. Kak Long wore her Ayah Ngah's jumper while Amir was wearing my husband's old jumper. Just imagine, a jumper that have lasted for about 35 years. (thanks to MIL :)). It's still in good condition... and I hope it won't disintegrate in my care...hehehe

When we arrived at the airport, it was still early and we didn't encounter any problems at all. The only problem was killing the time. My husband zonked out...hehehe, while the kids were busy playing their PSPs. Luckily the waiting area was quite comfortable and in no time at all, our flight was called.

While we were about to board the bus, Hadi ran ahead of us and he was scolded by both parents...sigh. Other than that, it was all plain sailing with the kids asleep as soon as they got on board. It was only a 2 hour flight and we arrived in Cairo around 6.30 local time. When we got out of the arrival hall, we felt lost a little bit because we didn't know our local guide.

Fortunately, Afzan (our guide) came within 10 minutes and off we went to our accommodation in Villa Sarawak. The kids loved the cold weather and it was definitely cooler than Khartoum...hehehe. Yeay!
