A day at the 'Fish House'...

On Friday the 22nd of May, I went to Zana's house in Taman Permata. I promised to be there around 10 a.m but as usual overslept and only managed to be there by 11 a.m. The kids were so hungry so they ate a lot of bread at Zana's house...hehehe

The first thing that they noticed about Zana's house was the massive fish pond. They were quite taken by it...hehehe. They even dubbed the house, the 'Fish House'. Zana's husband gave them a cup of fish feed which Amir straightaway put in his mouth... which made Zana laughed like mad...hehehe. Zana's husband said it was okay because it's full of protein!

After breakfast, I followed them to Andalusia Travel somewhere in Pandan Indah, I think. I was there to pay for badal haji for my late brother, mother and father. In Islam you can pay someone to do badal haji for someone who has passed away. I used the money from Ayang's insurance claim. I've been meaning to do it end of last year but did not have enough time. Thank you, Zana and husband for looking up into the matter for me.

After that, we went to 'Bagus' the bakery supply shop because Zana wanted me to show her what things to buy to make cupcakes. So, instead of telling her what to buy and just gave her the recipe, I decided to bake cupcakes at her house. She was so excited to learn and that was the first time ever for her to bake any kind of cakes...hehehe. Though she was sometimes distracted by baby Mawaddah, she managed to observe and learn how to make cupcakes.

The first tray was gobbled up by my son, Amir...sigh. Luckily I made enough cupcakes for Zana's kids as well. My friend, Nora also managed to drop by and we had such a good time...hehehe. I was there until 6 p.m and was shown how to use the new highway, DUKE towards Rawang. I quite like using DUKE because it took about an hour to reach my house but it was highway all the way...hehehe. I so love driving on highways because I could drive fast...Yeay! The kids were all  flat and were sleeping throughout the journey. Enjoy the pictures!

An afternoon at Batu Arang...

On the 17th of May, after Kak Normah's kenduri, I went to my uncle's house in Batu Arang. It's been awhile since I last saw them (more than a year, actually). My uncle or Pakcik Ee is my late mother's cousin. So his children and me are second cousins. We used to be very close but when I got married, we sort of drifted apart...

Anyway, two of Pakcik Ee's children are still very close to me (Yatie and Fuad). Fuad came to the house on Saturday to tell me about his brother's accident. Fadzil was involved in a motorcycle accident about 3 weeks ago, he was then discharged from hospital but still suffer from a broken leg and part of his scalp were also operated on...sigh

So, I took the opportunity to visit them on that Sunday afternoon. At first, I was a bit awkward but soon was made comfortable by everyone. I knew my uncle cared for me very much and I knew that he was really glad to see me again...sigh. I felt a little bit guilty for not seeing them as often as I could. Anyway, it was nice being among my own family again. Everyone was there, Pakcik and Makcik, their 6 children and their grandchildren...

My kids took the opportunity to bathe in their little pool and they had fun. The other kids were a little bit shy to be friends with my kids because they could hardly understand these ' mat salleh celup' kids...hehehe. My uncle's house was such an 'animal' heaven for Hadi. They had fish, chickens, a turkey and probably ducks too. A typical kampung style...hehehe.

We bid them goodbye before maghrib and I promised myself that I would go there again, soon. It has been too long...

Fadzil and his broken leg...

Pakcik and his grandkids...

They're having fun...

Thank you, dear husband!

Dear husband, thank you for buying me all the roses! Hehehe....

Beautiful, huh?!!

In a variety of colours, even purple!

Smells wonderful too...

My favourite would be the pinks!

Dear husband, thank you again for splashing out on the wonderful roses. Thank you for buying me more than a hundred roses in all the colours that I loved...hehehe
Even though you're far away, I consider that 'you' bought me the roses...hehehe
Well, I DID USE YOUR MONEY?!! Hehehe (ni dah start gelak 'evil' sikit...hehehe!)
Consider it as 'back-dated' flowers that you FORGOT to buy me for all the anniversaries, birthdays and other suitable occasions...
Hmmm... I do think that the hundred I got still not enough to cover all occasions...
Don't worry, I'll help you buy some more next time! Hehehe

Just got back...

I just got back from Cameron Highlands! Hehehe... Feeling ever so tired and I have to keep some strengths for my shopping excursions tomorrow...hehehe. I hope to go to Jusco Members' sale in Wangsamaju with zana tomorrow. So, I'll write when I have time to write, ciao!

Kenduri Kak Normah : The boys hair-cut...

After we finished eating at Kak Normah's house,  I brought the boys to the nearest barber shop for their much needed hair-cut. The barber was actually my ex-student and he was familiar with cutting the boys hair as we've been there countless times.

Hadi volunteered to go first and without any fuss sat patiently on the chair. Maybe he's getting older but I noticed that Hadi has become such a good boy lately...Alhamdulillah.

Next, it was Amir's turn and as always, he was a good boy... He looked so cute seating on the chair...hehehe.

Hadi's first...

Sitting very patiently...

Amir's turn...

Something must have attracted him...

His face's so round...hehehe

Kenduri Kak Normah : Aliah and jiha

During the kenduri, Aliah also reunited with her best friend in Taman Sri Rawang, Yati's daughter, Wajihah. She was happy to meet her old friends of SK Sinaran Budi. Look at their pictures together...

I just realised that this is already my 201 entry for my blog. Wow! How time flies! I realised that I'm writing so much nowadays... I just didn't realised how much...hehehe... I still have so many events to share actually. I hope I could catch up by the time I get on the plane to Sudan at the end of the holidays...hehehe, fat chance, huh?!!

Kenduri Kak Normah : Part 2

On Sunday the 17th of May, we arrived at Kak Normah's house around 11 a.m. I helped with cutting of the cakes and Yati and Hani fried the karipap.

But the funny thing was, the boys straight went to see their Kak Long at Kak Arah's house...hehehe. They must be missing their sister badly. While waiting for the jemaah surau to come, we arranged everything. One of the trays of ulam had to be disposed off because it was accidently 'steamed'. The tray of ulam was covered with clingfilm and left exposed to the sunlight thus 'steaming' it...kinda funny though...

The tahlil went smoothly. The tahlil was for Abg Sham and Kak Normah late mothers (who passed away within 10 days of each other) and also for arwah Ayang. I managed to see my other ex-neighbours like Kak Minah (Usop) and Kak Minah (Abg Nasir) and many others. I also met Kak Jamaliah (Ewin's mother). Ewin was my late brother's girlfriend. We hugged and what else could we do except shedding some tears...sigh...

The tahlil finished by 3 p.m. and I left soon after. Enjoy the pictures!
