Egypt : Oriental Weavers...

From Asfour, we went to the famous carpet shop, Oriental Weavers. In Cairo, I've seen several Oriental Weavers shops. My husband and I went to all four floors before finally deciding on several pieces of carpets that we liked.

At first we wanted to buy a big one (3x4 metres), but it was too bulky and heavy. In the end we bought smaller carpets for the living room. Something that we both liked. We got away from the salesperson and asked Kak Long to become our 'assistant' by sliding the carpets back and forth...hehehe

The kids were also happy because they could play at the small play area. It was complete with slides and jigsaw puzzles made from carpets...hehehe. I was busy admiring the handmade carpets which cost thousands...sigh. Really beautiful but living with these three small kids, it would just be tempting fate...hehehe

They have sitting areas on every level...

We fell in love with this...

We bought this too...

We didn't buy this one but another black carpet...hehehe

Aliah had to slide all the carpets for our special viewing...hehehe

They got balloons, slide etc...

Jigsaw puzzles made from carpets...

Where we had lunch...

Ada nampak cam Bangla tak? Tapi Bangla selalu kurus, kan? kan?

After lunch, we went home because we wanted to go to the Nile Cruise at night. We rested and went out again after Asar. We dropped by at the Attabah area, where my husband bought a black leather jacket and made a few work pants at the tailors.

When I saw the beautiful carpets, I wondered if you bought them. Slow thinking.
