On the 20th of March, we celebrated the Prophet's birthday. Even though it was a bit late but better late than never. Again we cooked by 'Blocks'. Block A cooked the soup, fried chicken and bubur while Block B cooked the rice, vegetables and curry. Actually the bubur was self-sponsored...hehehe. We donated stuff like green beans, santan, palm sugar and others but it was definitely a hit with everyone. Maybe because people rarely cooked bubur and in my opinion it was really delicious because we add 'ikhlas' into the making of it...hehehe
Anyway, as usual when we're cooking together, people 'demanded' to be fed 'lunch'...hehehe. So we had a simple lunch of khoruf curry, sambal sardin, vegetables plus ulam and sambal belacan. A typical kampung fare which was delicious. While the men went for friday prayers, the ladies fried the chickens. I truly like this type of 'muhibbah' because this is the time for us to get together and 'bond'! Well, for me, these occasions would be a perfect excuse for us to get out of the house and compare experiences...a.k.a sharing our 'shopping' experience that is...hehehe. It's also a valid opportunity for us to plan our next 'souk' excursions...hehehe. Enjoy the pictures!
