Last Thursday, the whole family went to the National Zoo in Ulu Klang. Actually the kids had been bugging me about a trip to the zoo for ages...hehehe. Being super lazy, I've been putting it off for years (they've been asking even before we went to Sudan! hehehe)
I was a bit reluctant because I wasn't sure if I could handle all 3 kids without help. But they were so excited I didn't have the heart to disappoint them yet again... We arrived around 11.30 a.m and the first thing that we did was get a map (as if we're going to get lost in the zoo?!!).
After that we got on the train and went around to the first point. We passed the giraffes, the elephants, the lake and we got off at point 4 where all the tigers and lions were. We had a nice time fooling around near the lions cage. We left when we finally hear them roar...hehehe
We got on the train, and waited until we reached point 7 to eat at the 'wild' restaurant there. I got to know that the train ticket could only be used twice. Huh?!! Why they didn't tell us that in the beginning before we got on in the first place?!! Cheh!
I thought there were quite a few restaurants there but there was only the 'wild' restaurant and one ice-cream shack. Quite disappointing choice actually. After that, we walked to point 5, the savannah walk where we could see more giraffes, camels and finally to the ape centre. Later, we walked passed the reptilian centre because they were scared of crocodiles and snakes...hehehe
They were a bit disappointed that they could not see the penguins. Belief it or not, the penguins died. What a pity. But the funny thing was the fact that the penguins died stuck in their heads. They would tell everyone that asked about their trip to the zoo about the penguins...hehehe
After that we 'attacked' the gift shop. Hehehe. All in all, the trip to the zoo was quite expensive. The ticket for adult was rm15 and rm6 for kids, the train ride costs rm3 per head, lunch was about rm 35 and the the toys bought at the giftshop around rm55...sigh
But the main thing was the kids were happy and they could not stop talking about it...hehehe. I was also thankful that the day was really nice for walking around...it was not too hot... And because it's a working day, not many people were around. There were only about three kindergarten school trips and a handful of families around. It was a great trip with my kids. Enjoy the pictures!
