First day raya... at Pn.Taha's house

From Kak Jas's house, we went home. I started cooking the nasi impit for our open house the next morning. After maghrib, we went to Pn. Taha/Hj. Zainal's house somewhere near marwa. It was their new house. The ambassador's old house used to be in Soba, about half an hour's drive from the complex.

This new house was huge and very beautiful. It had three storeys and Aliah's first impression... it was awesome! Hehehe... Amir was sleeping throughout our stay there...oblivious to all the noise and the chatter around him.

Even though Puan Taha's the wife of the Malaysian ambassador here, she's very down to earth. She's also quite known to us at the complex because she liked to join our activities at the complex. I liked her sense of humour too...hehehe

So around 9 pm, we made our way back to the complex... just at the right time. The Sudan Tv reporters just started unfolding their equipments... Puan Taha asked me whether I'd like to be interviewed or not... and to that I smiled and waved goodbye...hehehe. I was not ready to be stuck there for 2 or 3 hours...hehehe. There were a lot of Malaysian there too actually. Apart from Petronas staff, there were Malaysian working for Ericsson's and those from the police and the army as well. 

That also mercifully signalled the end of the first of Eid in Khartoum. In the end, we went to 8 raya gatherings on the first day. Even though, we ate only little bits here and there, we were really se'eh (full) at the end of the day. When we arrived at home, we had to clean up the house for our guests the next morning. I made tiramisu as the desert. Surprisingly, we were ready to go to bed by 11 pm. I was really tired of one whole day of merry-making...hehehe. Alhamdulillah.
