The majlis started about 5.45 pm with my husband as the emcee. I thought he was a bit nervous because instead of having an election for a new warden, he muddled everything up and ended up asking if anyone's interested in the job?!! Of course, we're stuck being warden...sob, sob.
Even though we cut down on the dishes but food was still aplenty. They seemed to enjoy the food...alhamdulillah... and the company...hehehe. By having these kind of events, we'll be closer to each other and everyone should know that they could rely on the others if they have any problems. We could always support the new friends if they need guides to the souks also...hehehe
We finished by 7 pm and we were too full to move! I had to shout to the ladies to evacuate their table...hehehe... because their table was the last to be cleared. Kak Jas also tapaued for Andrew who came back to Khartoum in the evening. Kak Shidah's sister and her husband also arrived in the evening. Nicky's parents and her uncle and auntie also joined our kenduri. Alhamdulillah, I think the gathering achieved the objective of a 'ramah mesra' concept.
