From KLIA to Dubai...

I know, I know, this post is really late...hehehe, but since it's my blog, I'll put whatever and whenever I feel like it...hehehe. The truth is, I have so many things to write in this blog but so little time...sigh.

Our flight back to Khartoum was scheduled on the early morning of the 5th of January 2009. So, we had to be there by 11pm on the 4th of January. The picture below showed the cousins playing at the last minute in their grandparents' house.

5 cousins piled up (except the baby, of course)...

Amir and Afiq...

My husband and I actually was a little bit rushed doing shopping for the last minute. There were so many things to be done, going to the dentist among other things...hehehe. So, we were still packing on the evening itself. We managed to cram about 160kg worth of stuff in 3 suitcases and several boxes...hehehe. At the last minute, I realised that we've forgotten to pack our daily shoes, I just chucked them in a plastic bag. Mummy had to intervene and put them in a more appropriate paper bag...hehehe

We booked a hiace van to go to the airport for our family. Angah and his family went in separate car while Daddy, Mummy and Adik in another. We were so glad when we arrived at the airport to see that Kak Normah, Abg Sham, Along Zali and Kak Arah were there too. Thank you, guys. Really appreciate the effort! I know my neighbours in Tasik Puteri had a kenduri at their house so they couldn't make it.

When we arrived, Daddy met his friend, a south african family who's going on the same flight to Dubai and they had a long chat. We were busy with our 'stuff', literally. It didn't go smoothly to say the least. We were informed that one of our boxes was too heavy, it was 37kg while the maximum weight requirement for a luggage or a box was only 22kg. I didn't know that! I thought since we had a big box, just filled it up!!! hehehe. So, then and there, we had to re-pack the box and distribute the excess weight to another box.

Luckily, we had the help of Abg Sham and Along Zali...hehehe. We managed to bring everything back to Sudan, yeay! After that hassle at the check in counter, we were very relieved to be able to chat with our family and friends. In one of my posts, I wrote about my baby-sitter, Kak Normah who suffered a stroke during Eid last year. She was half-paralysed actually. Her talking ability was also greatly reduced. But allah is truly great, by the time we met her, she was already walking and she was able to hold conversations with us, alhamdulillah.

We're truly lucky to meet this bunch of people because they've become a part of my family, actually. These are the people who helped with all the arrangements during my brother's funeral. They helped in any way they can and sent him back to Sabak Bernam. Only Allah can repay their deed... We've become so close throughout the years that I rarely felt that I'm an orphan. Around midnight, they walked us to the departure gate. Enjoy the pictures!

Imagine distributing the weight from the big box to the smaller box...hehehe

Along Zali had to send the box to another section because it's too big!

Abg Sham helped with my 'shoes carrier'...hehehe

Posing together...

Abg Sham minding them...

This is like a Mas advert, but our loved ones are at the back...bye, bye guys...

Aliah reading Baby Blues at the lounge...

Hadi also reading Baby Blues...

Amir's playing with tissues...

Then, we had to wait for about two hours at the Emirates lounge. The kids were happy with all the soft drinks and juices there. The parents were happy with all the food displayed...hehehe. After that, the kids were really sleepy and as soon as we're on the flight, they slept.

Amir getting comfortable...

Hadi's about to sleep...

Lastly, thank you again for sending us off. Our stay in Malaysia for the last one month of 2008 was really meaningful. Hope to see you guys, soon :)
