Movie nights...

We love watching movies as a family. In Malaysia, we would bring the kids to watch movies in the cinema (normally at oneutama), but in Khartoum, there's no such entertainment outlet. So, we have to make do with watching movies at home. We do this during the weekends, on thursday and friday nights.

Every week, showmovies would have new screenings at 9 pm. If the movie's not suitable for kids, then we would watch movies in our collection (since we have a new harddrive, we have better selections). If it's up to Hadi, we would be watching Transformers every time...sigh... Last night we watched The Chronicles of Narnia, Prince Caspian.

The kids love movie nights and they would wait for the weekend patiently... hehehe... I have managed to make it a family ritual. Every thursday night at 8.45, they'll be ready with the blankets and pillows... Everybody pitched in... Aliah would be bringing the blankets while Hadi and Amir grabbed the pillows. They would set up the screening area (infront of the TV...hehehe) and snuggled close to each other. Then, they would bicker which would make the father crazy because they're making him unable to concentrate... hehehe. Anyway, I'll love the little family tradition that we've started because I know that all too soon, they'll be grown up and would prefer to do their own things. I'll keep them with us a bit longer, insyaallah...

They're ready...

Normally, Hadi and Amir won't be next to each other...hehehe

Hi Maz, It's Josephine here. I enjoyed reading your blog. I am very much connected to what you have written especially on the lack of cooking skills and spending your time reading. Believe it or not, on the second month of my stay here in Khartoum, I went out hunting for books but to no avail. Not only were they outragiously expensive, there were hardly any books in English that one could sink her nose in! I feel sorry for most of the sudanese, I wish books are cheaper for all of them to enjoy. Hey, continue to write...I am looking forward to your next blog. Cheers!

Dear Man,
Diorang memang happy, maknya yang tak sabar nak balik...hehehe

Dear Josephine,
Thank you for visiting my blog. I came prepared with 2 full boxes of books. So far, I've finished reading 40 odd books, you're welcome to my mini library any time. I am going back for a deserved holiday soon and hopefully I'll have time to restock my depleted supply of books... Any particular book(s) that you'd like to read, I'll be happy to get them for you. Thanks again for reading my postings.

Thank you so much for the offer. One day I will drop in to pay your mini-library a visit. I am getting my library card ready. Hehehehe. At the moment. I have another 3 books in the queue waiting to be read. I have some books by Cecilia Ahern too. Thank you also for your kind and generous offer to get some books for me, I think I will be contented with your existing collection. I am sure you have a wide genre to keep anyone hooked.

When are you going back for the holiday? Don't forget to blog from Malaysia. Hehehehe
