Natrah's Birthday Party...

On Saturday, the 16th of May, I drove all the way to Auntie Umi's house in Ampang. I was a bit scared at first because I was not very familiar with driving in Ampang, normally my husband would be the one who drove.

The funny thing was the toy that we bought for Haris (Natrah's cousin)... it was mater from 'cars'. It was like 'doc' that we bought for Amir, it would start to revv its engine when shaken... hehehe. I put it at the back of the car but everytime the car hit a pothole or even just uneven ground, it would make a lot of noise. The journey from Rawang to Ampang felt very long indeed. Halfway into the journey I started to get irritated and I couldn't give the toy to Haris any faster when we arrived in Ampang...hehehe

They actually celebrated Natrah and Haris's birthday on that day, but Afiq and Sofia also got their individual toys. Auntie Umi prepared soto, while Sri made lasagne. I didn't take a lot of photos because I concentrated on eating and chatting with Amy (my batch mate who studied in Plymouth)...hehehe. She's finishing her Phd like some of our other mates as well...sigh... I wish I have their determination to study again. Reading for me nowadays would include blogs and other things on the net, not the thick and philosophical books...hehehe. Anyway, enjoy the pictures!

Amy and me...

We had to rush back to Rawang because I thought that Kak Normah's kenduri was after maghrib on the same day. I had to drive in heavy rain and I got lost (as usual) on my way out of Ampang... After making an illegal U-turn (to avoid jam), I ran right smack in the middle of another jam infront of the Flamingo...hehehe... All because of these two cars (not a very serious accident, it must be because they were too close to each other). KL + rain = traffic jam...sigh

A little bit of a dent, but the lady in the black car had the nerve to stop in the middle of the road (in the rain), not once but twice...sigh. I wish they could 'settle' it somewhere else and not involve others on their way?!! ...sigh...
