Egypt : Nile Cruise - The Entertainment :)

Before the trip, my husband and I surfed the net for activities to fill up our itinerary during the visit to Egypt. We were quite keen in joining a two-hour Nile Cruise at night. Hj. Zul and Kak Aishah with their daughter would also be joining us, together with their friends. So, it was decided that we would go on the night of the 23rd.

We were supposed to get on the 7.30 pm boat. But from Attabah, we were stuck on the worst traffic jam ever. At times it was not even moving, a complete stop...sigh. Anyway, being in the car was excruciating. Finally we arrived at 7.40 pm and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that they waited for us. We were the last one in and it felt like in the movie when they were about to pull the plank and move off... fuhh, lega.

Kak Aishah and family and their friend with his son were already seated. I discovered that the ship had three levels and we're on the second level. The first level was for those who chose a buffet dinner while ours was also a buffet but it comes with entertainment. Actually when we sit down, the first performance already started. (No, explorer, not the belly dancing...hehehe).

The man who did the first performance...

He was balancing a huge piece of leather material. He was quite charming, interacting with his audience while he was performing. Later he balanced a small music instrument before he was joined by a 'small' man. They performed a comedic sketch and I quite like it.

A comic sketch...hehehe

Then it was time for the belly dancing... We had fun, laughing at the men at our table...hehehe. She was very pretty and it was all I imagine it to be. She danced to two songs if I'm not mistaken.

Specially for Xplorer...hehehe

After the belly dancing, we went up on the deck to enjoy the view. By the time we got back, the food was ready and we were serenaded by a live band while we ate. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Even though the food was not that good but the experience was priceless...
